LA UMA ACUDE A LA RECEPCIÓN OFICIAL DE LA CELEBRACIÓN DEL DÍA DE LA FUNDACIÓN NACIONAL DE COREA EN MADRID Y CELEBRA EL DÍA DEL ALFABETO HANGEUL EN EL CENTRO CULTURAL COREANO DE MADRID
Con motivo del Día de la Fundación Nacional de Corea, el Embajador de la República de Corea en el Reino de España, Sr. D. Bahk Sahnghoon, invitó al Coordinador del Grado en Estudios de Asia Oriental de la Universidad de Málaga, Sr. D. Antonio J. Doménech del Río y a la Coordinadora del Área de Estudios de Asia Oriental, Sra. D.ª Aurelia Martín como representantes de la Universidad de Málaga a la recepción que tuvo lugar el martes 5 de octubre a las 19:30 hrs en Madrid. Participaron también en el evento personalidades de diferentes ámbitos e instituciones.
Además, en su visita a Madrid, la prof. Aurelia Martín y el prof. Antonio J. Doménech visitaron la Biblioteca Nacional, para acceder a distintas fuentes y documentos en español sobre las relaciones entre España y Corea.
En el evento, el Embajador de la República de Corea recalcó la importancia de construir puentes con el mundo hispanohablante para promocionar la cultura y los estudios coreanos, labor que desde hace más de diez años realiza el Área de Estudios de Asia Oriental dentro de la Universidad de Málaga. Durante el acto, se recordó la reciente visita de SS. MM. los Reyes de España a Corea del Sur en octubre de 2019, posteriormente correspondida por el presidente de la República de Corea, Sr. D. Moon Jae-in, que visitó igualmente nuestro país, demostrando las buenas relaciones que mantienen ambos países.
La Universidad de Málaga ha colaborado anteriormente con la Embajada de la República de Corea en España en numerosas ocasiones. Ambas instituciones mantienen buenas relaciones en el ámbito de las relaciones académicas e institucionales. Tal es así que han colaborado en eventos como la organización de las Tribunas España-Corea, se han recibido visitas de diferentes Embajadores al Grado en Estudios de Asia Oriental Mención Corea o la participación de la Embajada en la celebración del décimo aniversario de las relaciones entre la UMA y la Universidad Nacional de Incheon. Además, de manera regular el Área de Estudios de Asia Oriental organiza visitas oficiales a la Embajada y viajes extracurriculares para estudiantes.
Las relaciones entre el Área de Estudios de Asia Oriental y la Embajada de la República de Corea son excelentes y se espera continuar consolidándolas a lo largo de los años venideros.
El Coordinador del Grado en Estudios de Asia Oriental, el Sr. D. Antonio J. Doménech del Río y la Coordinadora del Área de Estudios de Asia Oriental, Sra. D.ª Aurelia Martín, acudieron al Centro Cultural Coreano (CCC) en representación de la Universidad de Málaga para tratar las futuras colaboraciones y proyectos que van a realizar en conjunto ambas instituciones, coincidiendo con la celebración del Día del Hangeul (alfabeto coreano). Con motivo de dicha celebración, el CCC ha organizado la Semana del Hangeul 2021, un evento que cuenta con varias actividades para que el público participe y aprenda de la cultura coreana escribiendo su nombre en hangeul, probándose la ropa tradicional coreana (hanbok) o decorando bolsos que regala el CCC. También se ha organizado una exhibición fotográfica online que permanecerá abierta hasta el 30 de noviembre.
El nuevo director del Centro Cultural Coreano (CCC) en Madrid, Jihoon Oh, ha celebrado 10 años de apertura de esta institución en nuestro país. Este centro ha contribuido desde su inauguración al acercamiento de la cultura coreana en nuestra sociedad, mediante eventos y actividades relacionadas con el cine, la gastronomía y el arte, entre otras.
El Centro y la UMA cuentan con previas colaboraciones en eventos relaciones con la promoción de la cultura coreana, como es la Semana de Corea, organizada anualmente por el Área de Estudios de Asia Oriental y la Oficina UMA-ATECH Puente con Corea.
UMA ATTENDS THE OFFICIAL RECEPTION FOR THE CELEBRATION OF THE NATIONAL FOUNDATION DAY OF KOREA IN MADRID AND CELEBRATES THE HANGEUL ALPHABET DAY AT THE KOREAN CULTURAL CENTER IN MADRID
On the occasion of the National Foundation Day of Korea, the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the Kingdom of Spain, Mr. Bahk Sahnghoon, invited the Coordinator of the Degree in East Asian Studies of the University of Malaga, Mr. Antonio J. Domenech del Rio and the Coordinator of the East Asian Studies Area, Ms. Aurelia Martin as representatives of the University of Malaga to the reception that took place on Tuesday October 5 at 19:30 hrs in Madrid. The event was also attended by personalities from different fields and institutions.
In addition, during their visit to Madrid, Prof. Aurelia Martín and Prof. Antonio J. Doménech visited the National Library to have access to different sources and documents in Spanish about the relations between Spain and Korea.
At the event, the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea emphasized the importance of building bridges with the Spanish-speaking world to promote Korean culture and studies, a task that has been carried out for more than ten years by the East Asian Studies Department at the University of Malaga. During the event, the recent visit of Their Majesties the King and Queen of Spain to South Korea in October 2019 was recalled, subsequently reciprocated by the President of the Republic of Korea, Mr. D. Moon Jae-in, who also visited our country, demonstrating the good relations between the two countries.
The University of Malaga has previously collaborated with the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Spain on numerous occasions. Both institutions maintain good relations in the field of academic and institutional relations. So much so that they have collaborated in events such as the organization of the Spain-Korea Tribunals, visits of different Ambassadors to the Degree in East Asian Studies – Korea Mention or the participation of the Embassy in the celebration of the tenth anniversary of relations between the UMA and Incheon National University. In addition, the East Asian Studies Department regularly organizes official visits to the Embassy and extracurricular trips for students.
The relations between the East Asian Studies Area and the Embassy of the Republic of Korea are excellent and it is expected to continue consolidating them throughout the coming years.
The Coordinator of the Degree in East Asian Studies, Mr. Antonio J. Domenech del Rio and the Coordinator of the East Asian Studies Area, Ms. Aurelia Martin, went to the Korean Cultural Center (KCC) on behalf of the University of Malaga to discuss future collaborations and projects to be carried out by both institutions, coinciding with the celebration of the Hangeul Day (Korean alphabet). On the occasion of this celebration, the KCC has organized the Hangeul Week 2021, an event with several activities for the public to participate and learn about Korean culture by writing their name in Hangeul, trying on traditional Korean clothing (hanbok) or decorating bags given by the KCC. An online photo exhibition has also been organized and will remain open until Nov. 30.
The new director of the Korean Cultural Center (KCC) in Madrid, Jihoon Oh, has celebrated 10 years of opening of this institution in our country. This center has contributed since its inauguration to the approach of Korean culture in our society, through events and activities related to cinema, gastronomy and art, among others.
The Center and the UMA have previous collaborations in events related to the promotion of Korean culture, such as Korea Week, organized annually by the East Asian Studies Area and the UMA-ATECH Bridge with Korea Office.
