Barbara Wall, del Departamento de Estudios Interculturales y Regionales de la Universidad de Copenhague, impartió la conferencia titulada: «Between Satire and Nationalism: The Transcoded Pantheon of Hell in the Webtoon Sin kwa hamkke (Along with the Gods, 2010–2012)». Esta se desarrolló a las 15:00 horas en el aula 2.16 de FEST.
A través de esta ponencia, la prof. Barbara Wall profundizó en la imagen del webtoon “Along with the Gods” como representación de la avanzadilla del discurso sobre “Hell Chosŏn”. Esta presentación explora la forma en que mezcla y cambia diferentes códigos en base a objetivos satíricos y nacionalistas de la historia de Corea.

On Wednesday, March 16th,2022, Prof. Barbara Wall, Department of Intercultural and Regional Studies in the University of Copenhagen, gave a lecture entitled “Between Satire and Nationalism: The Transcoded Pantheon of Hell in the Webtoon Sin kwa hamkke (Along with the Gods, 2010-2012)”. This took place at 3:00 p.m. in room 2.16 of FEST.
Through this presentation, Prof. Barbara Wall delved into the image of the webtoon “Along with the Gods” as a representation of the advance guard of the discourse on “Hell Choson”. This presentation explores how it mixes and switches different codes based on satirical and nationalistic aims of Korean history.
