Bachelor's Degree in East Asian Studies (Specialization on Korea) at the University of Malaga

The Bachelor’s Degree in East Asian Studies is a joint degree (Andalucía-TECH) at the University of Málaga and the University of Seville that responds to the demand for greater academic and scientific knowledge on East Asia. We train professionals with specific competencies for cultural, linguistic, political, and economic relations on these countries, fostering a multidisciplinary approach. In such a way, we want to bolster the development of a knowledge society ready to face the challenges posed by emerging markets.

Official Master's Degree in East Asian Studies at the University of Granada

The Master’s Degree in East Asian Studies at the University of Granada, cross-disciplinary and interdisciplinary, is organized into three tracks:

  • Multidisciplinary track on society, politics, and economy in East Asia, especially in China and Japan.
  • Linguistic mechanisms and elements of the historical and cultural evolution of China.
  • Linguistic mechanisms and elements of the historical and cultural evolution of Japan.

The Area of East Asian Studies of the University of Málaga teaches the subject Business Culture and Transcultural Negotiation in East Asia, part of this Master’s degree.

The Master’s Degree in International Cooperation and Development Policies at the University of Málaga trains professionals capable of working in the field of public administration, businesses, non-profit organizations, financial institutions, etc., carrying out tasks of study, research, preparation, design, intervention, bidding, management, etc., of projects, programs, and policies in the most usual fields of international cooperation and development, including the promotion of depressed areas and developing zones, local development, etc

Educational Innovation Projects (PIE)

Educational Innovation Projects (PIE) have been carried out at the University of Málaga for over 25 years. These projects focus especially on the innovation of teaching and learning processes to achieve excellence in university teaching.

The Area of East Asian Studies has participated in PIE since the 2013-2014 academic year, with the aim of improving the learning of Korean language for students of the Bachelor’s Degree in East Asian Studies (Korea Mention).
