THE THEMATIC NETWORK STUDIES OF EAST ASIAN WOMEN AT UMA STARTS ITS "3RD ITINERANT SCIENTIFIC POSTER EXHIBITION"
Within the framework of the International Symposium “Women, Equality, and Slavery in Korea” organized by the Area of East Asian Studies of the University of Malaga and held on March 22 and 23, 2022, the inauguration of the 3rd Itinerant Scientific Poster Exhibition of the Thematic Network “Studies of East Asian Women” took place.
On Wednesday, March 23, the opening ceremony was held by Professor Aurelia Martín (Principal Investigator and Professor at the University of Malaga) in the Hall of the Faculty of Education of the University of Malaga, where it was available until April 22.
The inauguration featured a performance of the play “Woman Soup” by the Mu Theater company.

THE THEMATIC NETWORK STUDY OF EAST ASIAN WOMEN OPENS ITS "2ND ITINERANT SCIENTIFIC POSTER EXHIBITION"

The University of Granada (UGR) inaugurated on Tuesday, March 1, the 2nd Itinerant Scientific Poster Exhibition of the Thematic Network “Studies of East Asian Women.” An activity carried out by the members of the Network in collaboration with the Area of East Asian Studies of the University of Malaga and other universities and institutions such as the Confucius Institute of Madrid.
The opening ceremony was attended by professors Aurelia Martín (Principal Investigator and Professor at the University of Malaga) and Alicia Relinque (Associate Professor at the University of Granada), both members of the thematic network.
During the opening ceremony, we had the participation of Paloma Chen, a Spanish writer and poet of Chinese descent, graduated in Journalism and Construction and Representation of Cultural Identities and a researcher on the Chinese diaspora in Spain. Paloma Chen read poems from her book Invocation to the Silent Majorities, where she expresses her own experiences as the daughter of migrants in Spain. The inauguration ended with an interview with the author.
The exhibition, funded by the University of Malaga’s Own Plan and designed by the members of the Network, will be itinerantly exhibited in various Spanish universities with the aim of raising awareness of the issues facing women from East Asia in various disciplines, such as literature, history, and anthropology.

THE THEMATIC NETWORK STUDIES OF EAST ASIAN WOMEN AT UMA CELEBRATES ITS "1ST ITINERANT SCIENTIFIC POSTER EXHIBITION"

The Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM) hosted the 1st Itinerant Scientific Poster Exhibition of the Network on Friday, November 29, at 12 o’clock, an activity carried out by the Thematic Network project of Studies of East Asian Women organized by the Area of East Asian Studies of the University of Malaga in collaboration with members of other Spanish universities and institutions.
Professors and coordinators of the East Asian Studies Degree at UMA Antonio J. Doménech del Río and Aurelia Martín Casares attended the event. In addition, Gladys Nieto, the director of the Confucius Institute of Madrid, inaugurated the event, which was followed by a roundtable discussion and a performance by the “Cangrejo Pro” group.
This exhibition aimed to raise awareness of the issues faced by women from East Asia in various disciplines, such as literature, history, and anthropology.
