The Cátedra Asia Chair of Patronage is organising the 1st Specialisation Diploma in Asian Studies: from the Himalayas to Korea.
This proposed academic degree, ‘Asian Studies: Himalayas to Korea’, is designed to provide students with a detailed and multidisciplinary understanding of the Himalayan, East Asian and Korean regions. This programme will include fundamental aspects such as languages, society, culture and philosophy-religion.
The proposal of this specialisation diploma will lead to the award of 30 academic credits for students. This degree will be developed in collaboration with professors from the University of Malaga, the Tibetan Institute of Asian Studies (ITAS), the University of Granada and Incheon National University. The inclusion of Korea in the academic programme will not only broaden the students’ perspective but will also allow for the study of cultural comparisons and contrasts between these two regions.
