3º Curso de traducción de Literatura Coreana
The Department of East Asian Studies of the Department of Historical Sciences, the Faculty of Social and Labour Studies of the University of Malaga and the Korea Literary Translation Institute (LTI, Korea) are organising the ‘Summer Course: Translation of Korean Literature’ at the Faculty of Social and Labour Studies, with the aim of providing specific training and the necessary tools to those interested in the field of Korean-Spanish translation and to initiate the next generation of Korean-Spanish translators.

The course will be chaired by Professor Antonio J. Doménech, lecturer in the Department of East Asian Studies at the UMA and expert in Korean-Spanish translation, and will also include the participation of the author of the story to be translated.

The course will be held in 12 sessions, from 12 June 2024 to 3 July 2024. The course will take place on 12, 13, 14, 17, 18, 19, 20, 27 and 28 June from 10:00 to 13:00 and on 1, 2 and 3 July from 10:00 to 13:00. The course comprises 60 hours of training equivalent to 2 ECTS credits.

The registration fee for the course is 60 euros for those who are not members of the UMA university community and 50 euros for members of the UMA university community. Payment will be made in cash on the first day of the course, 12 June 2024.

A maximum of fifteen participants with an upper-intermediate level of Korean will be selected for the course. The decision will be communicated by e-mail.
