In today’s society, the generation of ideas and solutions that are not only optimal but also original and creative has become fundamental. It is essential to value the conjunction of digital and traditional tools, collective creative processes versus individual concepts or physical and virtual spaces in order to attend to the possibilities that surround us. With this as a context, this course brought the students of the Degree in East Asian Studies at the University of Malaga closer to artistic creation based on texts of great relevance in Korean literature, specifically texts of Yadam literature translated into Spanish, with special attention to the presence of the Gisaeng slaves in the texts.
The course was structured in two sessions spread over two days, 29 April and 6 May (2024). In the first session, participating students were introduced to theoretical concepts such as constructive imagination, divergent thinking and original thinking through practical activities and multidisciplinary teams were formed. After this, the creative process of devising a performative project began, working on words, light, sound and movement with the support and direction of the professionals who taught the course. In the second session, the general rehearsals and our final project were developed.
