Project Description:

The aim of this initiative was to create a series of activities—organized as workshops and lectures—designed to promote gender-focused research in Korean Studies and the dissemination of ongoing academic work. These activities were conducted in collaboration with the Department of Korean Language at Incheon National University (South Korea), with whom prior joint seminars and conferences had already taken place.

The ultimate goal of the project was to continue offering a space for academic debate both for the university community at UMA and for Incheon National University, particularly for those interested in gender equality issues in South Korea and East Asia.

Methodology:

Both in the proposed workshops and conferences, a horizontal structure was established between the participating faculty and students from GEAOR (East Asian Studies Group).
